Counsel Profile

Atty. Rodel P. Acorda

Managing Counsel

Atty. Rodel P. Acorda has been an active legal practitioner in the Philippines for nearly three decades, focusing on Philippine labor and employment law, corporate compliance, and workplace governance. Following his admission to the Philippine Bar in 1998, he served for over four years as an Associate Attorney at a law firm in Makati City. During this tenure, his practice encompassed maritime labor disputes, traditional labor and employment litigation, general civil and criminal cases, and corporate and intellectual property law. This background provided the foundational experience for his subsequent transition into independent practice.

Now based in Quezon City, Atty. Acorda advises corporate clients and executives on employment frameworks and regulatory compliance. His practice includes assisting businesses with corporate restructuring, drafting workplace policies, and managing employer risk under the Labor Code. Having represented both corporate employers and individual complainants in separate matters throughout his career, his advisory approach incorporates insights from both employee-side claims and management-side defense.

Atty. Acorda's practice includes litigation before the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), where he represents clients through the Single Entry Approach (SEnA conciliation-mediation) and formal arbitration tracks. He also handles regulatory and compliance matters before the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), including the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), for both local and international employment concerns.
